Reporting Racism in Ireland
If you or someone you know is in danger, please call 999
There are a number of ways you can report racism in Ireland. The Gardaí have a National Diversity and Integration Unit you can phone on 01 666 3150. Every Garda Station should also have an ethnic liaison officer that you can ask to speak to. Online illegal content of any nature can be reported to hotline.ie which is run by the Gardaí.
For data gathering purposes (which doesn’t help an individual but can help to change policy and legislation and support levels) you can report a racist incident on ireport.ie
Getting Support After A Racist Experience
You are more than welcome to access any of the usual general mental health supports either on your campus or more generally (for a list of NGOs providing free or low-cost support please click here). However, some other suggestions include the following:

Turn2Me provides an online support group for people affected by racism every 2 weeks
Turn2Me also provides an online support group for migrants every Friday at 7pm
Turn2Me also provides trauma-informed counselling for migrants (use the code IPAS when signing up)
