Combining existing work that AMLÉ are engaged in, as well as all relevant mandates and motions related to mental health, the new AMLÉ Mental Health Strategy aims to provide a clear overview of the values of AMLÉ around student mental health as well as the key actions AMLÉ aims to take to improve student mental health for all students.
The document approaches different areas of student mental health, with objectives, actions for AMLÉ, suggested actions for local unions, as well as linking specific motions and mandates together with those actions.
The aim of the strategy is that it is a live document, to be reviewed at the end of each academic year and updated as needed. This also reflects a sector where policies are under regular review and allows AMLÉ policy to remain current.
